On the Bali Catspace catamaran
Kaštela→Palmižana→Stari Grad→Komiža→Vis→Milna→Kaštela

A loop around the islands of Central Dalmatia: the Pakleni Islands off Hvar, Hvar itself, Vis and Brač. Clear water, stone towns, quiet bays and one long passage across open sea.

Day-by-day route
  1. Day 1
    Kaštela
    boarding at the marina

Boarding at the marina near Split airport, settling in and a briefing. In the evening, optionally — Split and Diocletian’s Palace.

  2. Day 2
    Palmižana
    Kaštela → Palmižana

Passage to the Pakleni Islands off the western tip of Hvar. Palmižana is a bay on the island of Sveti Klement with pine woods and waterside restaurants; Hvar town is a water-taxi ride away.

  3. Day 3
    Stari Grad
    Palmižana → Stari Grad

Around Hvar to its northern shore. One of the oldest towns in Europe, founded by the Greeks as Pharos; nearby is the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain.

  4. Day 4
    Komiža
    Stari Grad → Komiža

The longest passage of the week — to the island of Vis. Komiža is a fishing town at the foot of Mount Hum; optionally — the Blue Cave on neighbouring Biševo.

  5. Day 5
    Vis
    Komiža → Vis

Around the island to its main town. Vis was a closed military zone for a long time and has kept its tranquillity; local Vugava wine and dinner right by the water.

  6. Day 6
    Milna
    Vis → Milna

Passage north to the island of Brač. Milna is a quiet harbour in a deep bay: stone houses, fishing boats and a calm evening at the quay.

  7. Day 7
    Kaštela
    Milna → Kaštela

A short passage across the Split Channel to the mainland. Farewell evening and last night on board; disembarkation on the morning of day eight.

What a week on board looks like

The same on every route. No sailing experience needed — the skippers do it all.

A typical day

The morning starts with breakfast on deck. Then we sail to the next stop, pausing in a bay on the way: a swim, lunch on board, time to relax in the sun.

By evening the boat is in a marina or at anchor off a town. Dinner ashore at a restaurant of your choice — or a quiet evening on board.

The route is flexible: in strong winds the skippers change the order of stops to keep passages comfortable.

What to bring

  • A soft bag instead of a suitcase — there is no room for hard luggage in the cabin
  • Shoes with light-coloured soles or sandals for the deck
  • Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
  • A light windbreaker or jumper for the evening
  • Passport, travel insurance and a bank card
